

The History of Jim Bobbitt & Associates LLC
In June 1997, James A. Bobbitt retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after more than twenty-six years service as a Special Agent. Recognizing the need for an investigative and consulting service for law enforcement and private industry, he formed Jim Bobbitt and Associates LLC. During Mr. Bobbitt's twenty-six years of service to his country, he held a variety of investigative and managerial positions in the FBI. His unique background qualifies him as an asset for your organization or company. Mr. Bobbitt's background includes the investigation of kidnapping, extortion, property crime, and financial crimes. He has twenty years investigative and managerial experience in the areas of Organized Crime and Drug Trafficking investigations. Mr. Bobbitt's management experience includes the following: Organized Crime/Drug Enforcement Task Force Coordinator for the Southwest Border Region; FBI's National Coordinator for the Organized Crime/Drug Enforcement Task Force Program; Responsible for all Organized Crime and Drug Training for the FBI; Supervisor of Organized Crime/Drug Squads in two major FBI Field Offices; Assistant Chief of the Organized Crime/Drug Section, FBI Headquarters; Lectured nationally and internationally on Organized Crime/Drug issues; Represented the FBI in various international forums regarding Organized Crime/Drug issues; Chief of units within the Organized Crime/Drug Section responsible for program management of Mexican, Colombian, Central/South American, Middle- Eastern, and West African/Nigerian Criminal Enterprises; Directed and participated in sensitive personnel and administrative inquiries.
Mr. Bobbitt is a 1969 graduate of Stephen F. Austin University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science. He served as a police officer in Texas prior to joining the FBI.
